I’ve never been to the Derby before, so it was quite an experience. This particular Derby was the Hello! Million, and although I didn’t bet on any of the races, I did get a sense of why people were drawn to these events. Mumbai was being nice to us (for a change), because the weather was just perfect, the sun was out and there was cool breeze. Although,the breeze was a bit of an issue, knocking off the lovely hats, and giving my hair a wind swept look, which Nisha JamVwal assured me looked lovely (but I’m still not convinced!) I couldn’t resist the white wine sangria and the sushi, some of my favourite things (I did feel very ‘My Fair Lady’!)
As you may know by now, I love to dress up! Therefore I was thrilled to be in the company of those just like me. Everybody was dressed to impress, it wasn’t just the celebrities but also those people who love the races. There were just so many designer bags and dresses and shoes to look at that I had to start clicking away. Armed with my Camera and a Scott Shumann state of mind, I went around taking pictures of those around me. Here are some of my pictures from the Hello!
