I’ve always been intrigued by Sussanne Khan Roshan. When she signed up on twitter @sussannekroshan, I immediately began following her. It was evident from her tweets that in addition to being a superstar wife, she was passionate about her job as an interior designer. She would tweet about Paris and architecture and havens for interior designers.

The Charcoal Project therefore doesn’t come as a surprise. The store, which is Sussanne K Roshan’s vision saw quite an opening in Mumbai on the 27th evening. To support this endeavour of hers, marking attendance were Jaya Bachchan, Amir Khan, Anil Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra, Mehr and Arjun Rampal, Shekhar Kapur, Gauri Khan, Preity Zinta, Queenie Dhody, Vijendra Singh, Yash Chopra, Jeetendra, Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, Bhavna and Chunkey Pandey, Seema and Sohail Khan, Sharmilla Khanna and Kunal Kapoor.

The 14000 sq feet store has two commanding levels and presents lines by premier global and Indian designers.

It has a wide spectrum of décor products that range from French antique furniture and modern eclectic furniture to home accessories, dinnerware, table linen, crockery, soft furnishings, installations, artifacts, and limited edition photo-art and accent pieces. The store will showcase exclusive lines by renowned designers such as Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla and Andrew Martin, as well as a unique line of classic furniture designed by Sussanne herself.

That’s quite a prized possession Mrs. Roshan has created for herself!
