Fashion Review: Vizyon Spring Summer 2011

Yesterday at the Four Season’s I felt very much like Miranda Priestly from The Devil wears Prada (minus the bad attitude and grey hair). Fashion brand, Vizyon was having a special sneak preview of their collection and I was invited to review it and to get a one-on-one with the creative director Shradha Murarka. I’ve been a big a follower of the brand and lusted after many of their creations since they began, so it was great to finally get to know the people behind the brand. It was quite a girls day out, drinking high tea and getting the model to try on all the fabulous clothes, while I chatted about the collection with Shradha (who btw loved what I was wearing – my own creation. I really appreciated the compliment!)

Vizyon Collection

Vizyon this spring summer has mainly focused on dresses, from breezy beach kaftans to off shoulder floor length gowns to sequined mini dresses. So whether you’re a glam doll or a demure lady, you’ll find something to suit your taste. The USP of Vizyon is that they drape their garments while producing them, so each dress flows off your body in the most appealing way. This collection’s strength though has to be in its use of colour and prints. The garments are in bright pop colours and soft pastels with floral and animal prints. It’s a young vibrant look at this season’s trends. There is a dress for every event you might have coming up, so girls start fighting over these great garments; believe me they are going to be flying off the racks!

Vizyon White Dress

Some of my favorite pieces were the ones I’ve photographed the model wearing. I feel a little bad for the model, I kept asking her to try on garments, but I was polite! When I first entered the suite, my eye immediately went to this white sequined razor & cowl back dress, it looked amazing on the hangar and as you can see looks even better on the model! Another dress I just couldn’t stop drooling over was the long floral off shoulder dress, it’s so elegant, but the uneven hem gives it’s that edge that makes it’s unique from other floral gowns.

It’s no secret to anyone who knows me that I love what I do, and the perks are amazing, Shradha and I hit it off so well that both MissMalini and I are being given gorgeous dresses from Vizyon to wear for Lakmé Fashion week! You just have to wait till LFW to see what MissMalini will be wearing!
