According  to Christopher Baily, Deepika  Padukone is just stunning,  “What a  pleasure to  have a glimpse of the  famous Bollywood magic that  the world  obsesses  about.”

Styled by designer Christopher Bailey of Burberry, Deepika Padukone looks pretty spectacular in pink in the latest issue of Vogue India. Deepika says Christopher “was so sweet at the shoot, quiet and a little self-conscious, really lovely.” Here are a few excerpts from the interview!

Deepika Padukone is not big on social networking—her Facebook updates are irregular and her presence on Twitter nearly non-existent.

“There’s a  certain something in not letting everything out, no? Why would I want  everyone to know what I’m doing at any given time of day?”

Padukone says of her much-anticipated item number in the title song of Rohan Sippy’s Dum Maro Dum

“It was the first time I was offered something  like this, people don’t generally see me in that role. It was music,  drama, fun!”

She has that incomparable pride of someone who made it on her own.

“Work  has brought luxuries. I have my own place now, I own three cars. But I  still remember the high of buying my first car, an Accent, and how it  felt to buy my home. My money, my hard work.”
