The 4th day of LFW, has made my week, Atsu and Kallol Dutta both showed a brilliantly thought of and fresh collection. They were definitely the ones everybody was eagerly anticipating. They were not the only ones to shine though, Anupamaa Dayal brought a youthful look to spring fashion with some easy to wear garments that will sell out as soon as they hit stores. She made me want to go to Goa and party! Cantabil style by Rocky S., was a bit too mass production/retail and although Rocky did a good job styling, the show lights and music were more interesting. Oh did I mention the B word? Bollywood big wigs, Zayed Khan and Diya Mirza turned up for the show, again it didn’t help the clothes much. Pria Kataria Puri is a genius in giving her clients just what they want. There wasn’t much of a difference from the last collection, different prints but same kaftan dresses. She’s sticking to her comfort zone something which she does very well at.

Coral Coast Colours, Bright, Sophisticated, Contemporary, Sleek, Minimalist.
It was so difficult for me to take pictures and footage as my eyes were glued to the runway (something that hadn’t really happened this LFW). I wanted each garment that came down the runway. His minimalist approach to day-wear and his high glamour look at night resort wear has won me over. I am dying to get my hands on his sandy gold sequined dress with Lilac satin trench!

Quirky, Interesting, DHL Wrapped Shoes, Checks, Strips, Head-to-Toe Print.
In true Kallol style, he gave us a collection with interestingly draped tops, trousers and dresses. I loved that he did head-to-toe in one print, it’s a strong look not meant for all, but a great look for summer. Only Kallol would sticky tape his shoes in duck tape and DHL tape; he even had bar-code stickers on the girl’s legs. All in all a great collection that reflect the future of Indian fashion.

Energetic, Vibrant, Flowy, Floral, Goa Chic, Girly
This was a really entertaining show, models had fun in their clothes, it made me want to go to Goa. Lots of cotton printed dresses and kaftan, its evident that it’s a beach wear collection meant for a young demographic. THis collection if priced well will sell out immediately. Anupamaa designs for girls and the girls will love this collection.

Prints, Crystals, kaftans, Fringe detail, One Shoulder Dress, Bright Colours
Power Resort wear with fringe detail on hems and even shoes. There is no doubt that this collection will sell, with all of Mumbai’s socialites on front row, it’s bound to. This collection didn’t vary much from her previous collections, but it’s her strength and will be extremely commercially viable. The show stoppers Namrata Barua Shroff and Perizaad Zorabian were decked in all of India’s crystal, i’m not a big fan of head to tow sequins, but I’m sure a lot of folks will be.
