While I didn’t get much time to relax at LFW, I did manage to hang out with some of my designer friends and twist their arms into giving us an interview. Here is the first of my one-on-ones with the designers behind their brands. Sabbah Sharma and I met in Milan during my brief Europe fashion college craze. It’s great to see that after she finished fashion college she actually went ahead followed her dream and started her own brand (unlike some of us!) This is her second time showing at LFW, and I’m sure not the last.
I loved her maxi dresses, they have an ease to it that oozes party charm. Since they are made from Georgette they skim off the body in the most flattering way and I just can’t wait to get my hands on that turquoise number (you’ll see it in the video). The colours are loud and vibrant with a summer feel to it. Although, she says her cape dress is her signature for this collection, I feel that her over all signature is her cutout dresses/vest that we’ve seen from last collection (and present), that are her strength. As she says in the video the Sabbah Sharma is a confident girl/woman, not a particular body type or class. Therefore in her collection there are a variety of silhouettes, from hour glass to a-line, you’ll find something for every body type.
