Have you been watching Ab India Todega on TV? It’s super-cool to watch Indians break records and the hosts are funny too. If you’re a TV addict, you’ve definitely seen and heard of Terence Lewis. He’s a really popular dance choreographer/ instructor. He has academies all over the city. When I was in college, I was told he came from really very humble beginnings and he’s quite the inspiration for people who want to make it big. His latest feat is sure going to motivate people. He broke the existing Guinness World Record for the largest Bollywood dance. He basically taught 1336 participants at the same time at St. Teresa High School. This simple hour long class was free of cost and open to anyone who was interested and they danced together on the song Jhoom Barabar Jhoom! (Watch the video for some history on the song) Shabbir Ahluwalia who hosts the show ‘Guinness World Record – Ab India Record Todega’ cheered the crowd and held the attempt together. Shabbir along with Guinness World Record Adjudicator Mr. Rob Molly (the designated Official) declared the effort successful and awarded him his certificate. Terence broke the previous Guinness record held by Australia of choreographing over 1235 people. Break a leg, we say.
