April 2nd 2011, a historic win for India in the Cricket World Cup against Sri Lanka and OMG we were here in Mumbai to witness it all. Now that’s what I can an #EPICWIN 🙂 xoxo
Sorry for being a little AWOL this week but you can imagine the craziness that’s been going on! First India beat Pakistan in the semi-finals and then we bag the Cricket World Cup after 28 years, I’m SO proud of our boys in blue! Plus Mahendra Singh Dhoni just got even hotter (despite the cut-off jersey he wore to collect his medal with the whole world watching, what was that, 80s flashback?! Even the boys noticed how camp* it was!) But the Indian Cricket Team are the new World Cup Champions and we’ll be celebrating this victory for a while I’m sure! Psst! We had a few Sri Lankan supporter house guests for the weekend and I have to say well played but yup, Jo Jeeta Woh Sikander! Oh and Gaurav Kapur did a little video preview during his fittings for the IPL song they’re shooting to air before the telecast on April 8th too 🙂
*Camp: by the way is a new slang term I came across. Campy is something that’s overly sentimental, cliché and often old-school. For example, those 1950s films that taught you about good hygiene would be considered campy.
