For the Love of Beer Pong…

beer pong

Pulling all night studying sessions, falling asleep amid account lectures and beer pong were just a few of the things I naturally assumed would cease to exist in my life once graduated from university. Little did I know the drinking game that everyone thinks they are good at would pop into my life years later. Thank you beer pong for finding your way from Beirut, Lebanon to North American Frat Boys to East in Kemps Corner, Mumbai!

Ready to play? Here is what you need to know:

A ping pong table or any other large table
Ping pong balls (make sure to grab an extra pack just in case you have friends that are severely
lacking in coordination or I try and play)
12-20 cups depending on the formation
Lots of chilled beer or any other liquid
2 water cups for ball washing

Basic Rules of Beer Pong:

Try and eliminate your opponents cups by tossing ping pong balls across the table into the liquid filled cups
If a ball is sunk into a cup, the opponents must drink the liquid and remove the cup
If a ball is sunk into a cup and the liquid spills, the cup is removed and the opponents remain thirsty.
Decide before the game if you rerack at a certain number of cups. Kindly refer to the re-rack chart for proper beer pong regulated formations.
Once all a team’s cups are over, the game is over.

If you are as talented as I am at the game (aka absolutely useless), you will need more than a bit of luck in order to avoid the playful smack talk that takes place on the ping pong tables. I did the research for both of us, and stumbled upon this lovely diagram of ways to sink the ball in:

Remember to game responsibly! Players should be extremely careful to avoid over-consumption.

See you on the tables!
