It’s was truly a birthday celebration for Akon with two back to back housefull concerts in India. Reportedly there were 20,000 fans in attendance, clearly Akon’s music is loved. The highlights of the evening included a power packed curtain raiser event by newcomer Arya and ace choreographer Shiamak Davar from India. Shiamak did a hip hop routine which I’m sure will spark off a revival of the hip hop dance movement. I’m just happy hip hop is starting to make it’s way back into main stream music here in India. To be honest, I’m fed up of house music in clubs, remember those hip hops nights, how much fun were they?!
