Dome, InterContinental Marine Drive

For those of you who recall our original review, we are fans of Ian Kittichai’s Koh Thai restaurant at the InterContinental Marine Drive. The restaurant recently spruced up its menu and added a few new items, which we were lucky enough to sample a few. From what we can tell, the chef’s still got it:

  • Tuna Tartar: reminiscent of the Yellowtail Ceviche – thin slices of tuna with flavors of lemongrass, kaffir lime, and fish sauce, all wrapped in a delicate sheet of cucumber.
  • Chicken and Coconut Relish: Sweet and savory, served atop a perfectly crispy rice cake
  • King Aubergine: Served in a hollowed out cucumber tip, this failed to impress as much as the other menu items but seemed popular with the other guests.
  • Crispy Rice Noodles: reminded us of a Thai version of our local sev – a sweet and crunchy treat
  • Chilean Seabass Springroll: Believe it or not, wrapping this buttery fish and deep-frying the lot actually works – without losing the fish’s prized delicate flavor. We recommend!

Have you tried the refreshed Koh menu? We’ve yet to re-visit for a proper meal but would love to hear your latest reviews!
