Ritu Kumar has been in the Indian fashion industry for what seems like decades, so it’s about time stylists from around the world know who she is. Recently for a photo shoot tennis star Ana Ivanovic wore two Ritu Kumar creations. One is a lehenga worn with a white off shoulder blouse, a look I love (as that’s usually how I wear my lehengas). The second is a Ritu Kunar Label dress with a Ritu Kumar dupatta that’s been worn as a turban. I always say that Indian wear should be worn in a contemporary fashion, I think Ana looks very modern yet with an Indian sensibility. Something we urban desi girls should keep in mind, it’s a sure shot way to being chic.
