I caught a trailer of Kucch Luv Jaisaa and thought it looked really interesting. I think I liked Shifaali Shah‘s portrayal of a housewife the most. So, on further investigation, I found out it’s a story of how Madhu (Shifaali) meets Raghav (Rahul Bose). Mrs Madhu Saxena’s birthday falls on the 29th of Feb. So, it comes once in 4 years and her husband (Sumeet Raghvan) manages to forget it. She’s generally unhappy with the route her marriage has been taking and could easily sulk. Instead, she chooses to head out and enjoy her birthday and ends up meeting Raghav. It’s also Raghav’s birthday and he wants a date with his girl Ria (Neetu Chandra). It’s not that easy though because he’s a most wanted criminal on the run. Madhu bumps into Raghav and mistakes him for a detective. She sets off an adventure with him and it changes their lives forever. The movie is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, written and directed by Barnali Ray Shukla, chromatography by Bobby Singh. Pritam has given the music to Irshad Kamil‘s lyrics and my friend Mannan Shah has sung a couple of tracks too. The movie hits theatres on 27th May 2011.
