This May, Walt Disney Pictures will present the latest edition of the Pirates movie series titled Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. The movie had a star studded premiere at Disneyland, California last evening. The premiere was larger than life and as crazy as the movie itself with a black carpet instead of a red one. Disney also constructed the world’s first outdoor 3-D theatre for this much awaited screening. Nearly 25,000 fans flocked the venue to catch a glimpse of their favorite movie stars. Apart from the super hot Johnny Depp (with a fancy new haircut) and Penelope Cruz, Jodie Foster, Steven Tyler, Eva Longoria, Teri Hatcher, Ian McShane

,

Kevin McNally

,

Sam Claflin, Martin Short, Kirstie Alley, Joey Lawrence, Cat Cora

and

Vanessa Hudgins with BFF Ashley Tisdale

sashayed down the carpet at this magnanimous Disney party capped with fireworks.

This one is I am super thrilled about because it is going to have the delightful Penelope Cruz join Johnny Depp in his escapades (can’t hardly wait)! Psst.

I have a feeling they’re going to have scorching chemistry!

Now, even though the movie is about old buddies turning into enemies but what we are really excited about is Captain Jack Sparrow‘s eccentric antics, his inimitable style and a dash of Johnny’s divine acting despite the wavering morality of the character he plays. On Stranger Tides, the fourth film in the franchise is based on a book by Tim Powers and will be directed by Rob Marshall (he made Memoirs of a Geisha) .The fantasy adventure will also have Ian McShane, Geoffrey Rush and Judy Dench in supporting roles. The producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who has also produced the earlier editions, feels that this action-packed tale of truth, betrayal, youth and demise with

mermaids

as a compelling force will captivate audiences across the globe.

The plot is essentially about Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) crossing paths with a woman from his past (Penelope Cruz). Now, Jack is trying to figure out if this woman is in love or is using him to get to the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the Queen Anne’s Revenge, the ship which belongs to formidable pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane), Jack is forced into an unexpected adventure where he has to fight Blackbeard as well as this strange woman from his past. The previews of the movie that I’ve seen are nothing short of spectacular. With Harry Potter’s last movie hitting theaters soon and Pirates of the Caribbean 4 looking dapper, summer at the movies just got hotter.
