We’d told you about Salman Khan turning producer with Chillar Party. The latest development suggests it will be the open the film festival held by IIFA at Ontario, Canada. #Inothernews, Ranbir Kapoor‘s item number from the same film has been kept out of the promotions.
Ready released on 3rd June 2011 and has already been declared a super hit. Whatever the critique, Salman’s presence in the film ensured it would do well. The audience is loving his renewed hero avatar post Wanted and Dabangg. So much so that every promotional event he has gone to has seen a fan frenzy.
Shah Rukh Khan too is in the process of creating fanfare for his most ambitious project: Ra.One. Although the film releases only in October 2011, he has released teasers and teaser theatrical trailers, so it is well embedded in the audience’s psyche. Good move, you think?
Quite unfortunately, SRK’s friend Karim Morani was arrested for supposedly playing a part in the 2G allocation scam. His daughter, Zoa has a prominent role in the upcoming Red Chillies Production Always Kabhi Kabhi. Both SRK and Zoa maintain that Karim shouldn’t be judged until something is proven in a court of law.
So, folks, that’s the major news from Bollywood in the week gone by. Until next time, keep it filmy. xoxo
