Her legendary candle may have burnt out almost fifteen years ago, but Diana – Princess Of Wales is back in the news yet again and this time its all about her fashion and style.

Considered to be one of the world’s best love fashion icons, Diana would set a trend the moment she stepped out of her Kensington Palace gates. Whether she wore a gown or a mini dress, slacks or simple jeans, whatever the Princess of Wales wore would become the season’s “must-have!”

Now, you can have a chance of owning one of the fabulous frocks she wore through her lifetime if you participate in a mega auction of her clothes which will take place tomorrow in Toronto, Canada.

Maureen Rorech Dunkel, a resident of Florida, is putting up fourteen of Diana’s dresses which Maureen herself bought at a Christie’s auction in New York on June 25th 1997.

What’s really special about these dresses is that they were hand-picked by the Princess to be auctioned off to raise funds for her favourite charities only eight weeks before she was killed in that Paris car-crash.

Among the gowns is this black creation – designed by Victor Edelstein – which she wore to a White House State Dinner hosted by President Reagan. The highlight of course, was dancing with John Travolta, one of her crushes in her teenage years.

There are also a number of outfits by her favourite designers like Zandra Rhodes, Bruce Oldfield and Catherine Walker.
