The IIFAs are over but the fashion is still something needed to be talked about. For the record I would like to say that the men usually tend to have it easy, a sherwani or a suit, you can’t mess that up can you? The women on the other hand I do feel sorry for them, so many events and having to get it right all the time must be a whole lot of pressure. On a side note, I must mention that I’m thrilled that more and more high end labels are being spotted on the green carpet. Here are some pictures from the events held in Toronto this year, as you can see we have a lot of hits like Ms. Sonakshi Sinha (fast becoming my favourite starlet) and Neha Dhupia, but a whole lot of misses like Bipasha Basu and Malaika Arora Khan. Take a look. Sorry for missing out on your favourite stars, will try and get our hands on some more picture so satisfy you IIFA fashion crave!

Shah Rukh Khan

What is Shahrukh Khan’s accessory he can’t live without? His body guards, okay bad joke, but seriously how many does he have? Mr. Khan kept it simple with his other accessories a slim tie and a silk handkerchief, just a peek of red to his otherwise monochrome look.

Sonakshi Sinha

I love that Sonakshi can exude both Bollywood & Hollywood charm. Her choices for the IFFAs were sophisticated and glamorous. Her Sequined Diane von Furstenberg (can be found at Kitsch) dress flattered her body type although I’m not feeling the red accessory (nails and rose in hair). Sonakshi knocked it out of the park in the Alexander McQueen, need I say more?

Bipasha Basu & Ameesha Patel

Did Ramona Narang not tell these two darlings that they are wearing the same dress to the same occasion? I’m a little uncomfortable by just how short the dress is on Bipasha Basu, but like how she kept the hair, make up and accessories minimal. Ameesha Patel on the other hand tries to make too much of a statement with bright pink accessories… grrr!

Neha Dhupia

Neha Dhupia looked radiant in her Catherine Malandrino dress, there dress is ‘vintage’ though from the Spring/Summer 2009 collection. What does it matter though? It’s a great colour, fit and style, plus the hair and make up look flawless on her. Let’s hope she keeps this best dressed streak up!

Genelia D’Souza

Alright this is a definitely miss for Genelia D’Souza, shes young but you’d never tell in this Gaurav Gupta disaster, the colour washes her out and the texture on the bodice and the shoulder are distracting. To top the look off the Alexander McQueen skull clutch looks out of place it’s far too rock and roll for this look.

This is a much better look for Genelia, the Falguni & Shane Peacock dress is a lot more youthful that the other dress. Also she looks more comfortable and confident in this dress, which makes a world of a difference. The hair is a mess, it almost looks DIY, and probably was as she didn’t have the colour in her other look, so it was probably an afterthought.. a bad one!

Malaika Arora Khan

Malaika Arora Khan knows how to up the oomph factor but this Monisha Jaising dress is almost too much sex appeal for me to handle. I do love the Maheep Kapoor earrings that she’s wearing, although she has debuted them before (but I’m forgiving!)
