There’s been much speculation on the “2 States” project (Chetan Bhagat‘s novel). Most recently we’ve learned this project’s on hold. Now there’s a chance for Vidya Balan. It’s reported Vishal Bhardwaj wanted Vidya to star opposite Shah Rukh Khan, but she gained weight for her Dirty Picture role, thus, Vishal was supposedly worried she would not lose the weight in time for filming (NOTE: I hope this isn’t true, I hate Bollywood’s beauty standards for it’s actresses! And Vishal Bhardwaj doesn’t seem like a director who would do this). Anyway, we’ve seen how delightful Shah Rukh and Vidya were on-stage with Hugh Jackman.
Even Shah Rukh Khan has expressed interest with working opposite Vidya Balan. She is the only actress in the industry who was not a runway model (Anushka Sharma, Bipasha Basu), a beauty pageant queen (Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai) or from a filmi family (Sonakshi Sinha, Kareena Kapoor), and still made it with her talent. Readers, is Vidya a good choice? Do you want to see her on-screen with Shah Rukh?
PS: I also think Asin’s a good choice, but would look too young compared to Shah Rukh Khan.
