In a city that thrives on fashion and Bollywood glamour, it was lovely to see a fashion show with everyday people walking the ramp with much enthusiasm and a child-like glow on their face.

Over fifty senior citizens who have undergone joint-replacement surgeries in the recent past, participated in ‘Walk The Talk’ fashion show organized by Fortis Hiranandani Hospital.

The participants were a part of the support group at the hospital that is a platform for spirited individuals who have undergone joint replacement surgeries to come together for personal bonding and work towards providing support and counseling to arthritis patients.

Explaining the purpose of the fashion show, Mr. Manpreet Sohal, Facility Director at Fortis Hiranandani Hospital, Vashi, said: “This is a fashion show not for glamour or fund raising but for celebrating the spirit of living life to the fullest. Arthritis is not a killer, but a definite debilitating disease, which now has good curative options under medical science. Through the fashion show, the participants wished to showcase that they are living normal physically active life after their joint replacement surgeries.”
