Yes, I was surprised too. Usually, my friends are not the type to book movie tickets in advance. Sometimes, we reach the box office 5 minutes after the movie has started to buy tickets. But for Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2, they’ve been singing a different tune. Not only have they made a plan to watch it in Imax for its offering of the biggest screen but also they’ve been hounding me with calls and messages to book the tickets. By now, I have visited the Imax website and a ticket booking website at least 25 times (no exaggeration). Unfortunately, there was a stand-off between multiplexes and distributors. Their contract was due for renewal and they just couldn’t agree on any terms set forth. Hence, if you’re a Potter fan, the only choice you had was to line up outside the theatre and wait for the counter to open (classic American style). In any case, I have earned bragging rights, having watched the movie on Monday. *evil smile* Go watch it Potter fans. It all ends today!
