In this season of sequels and remakes, two of the biggest stars, Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan will be seen playing Amitabh Bachchan‘s roles in Don 2 and Agneepath respectively. Farhan Akhtar‘s remake of Don, released in 2006 had received a mixed critical reception but scored high at the box office. After 5 years, he is returning with the sequel releasing this Christmas. Personally, I quite enjoyed the first Don and am impressed with the teaser for Don 2. As for Agneepath, the original, produced by Yash Johar was a failure at the box office. Yash Johar’s son Karan Johar has produced the remake, in the hope of reviving it. Interestingly enough, Amitabh Bachchan’s character name in both movies was Vijay.
