Mahesh Bhatt is all set to make a sequel to Jannat, a movie about the bookies in Indian cricket. The original had Emraan Hashmi and Sonal Chauhan. I wonder why none of his sequels ever retain the original cast or story. (Murder 2 had nothing to do with the original which had Mallika Sherawat).
This time he’s decided to cast Kunal Khemu (he was last seen in Golmaal 3) as the main lead. The sequel will be directed by Vishal Mahadkar and will have Amrita Puri as Kunal’s lady love. Wow, I loved her as the pretty Punjabi girl with the makeover story in Aisha.
But, I wonder why this sequel madness is so rampant. And I really thought the idea of a sequel was to give fans more of a movie they loved but seriously Jannat wasn’t event that popular and I don’t know why they would try. For the sake of our sanity, please make this one less torturous.
