Save the Date for the Most Spectacular Lakmé Fashion Week Ever!

Record number of Designers are to participate at Lakmé Fashion Week  Winter/Festive 2011 with 87 designers and 10 sponsors participating this  season.

It’s almost that much awaited time of the season, when all of fashion’s famed troops march forth:
Designers new and established, models, choreographers, stylists and of course, the media for a week of fashion and festivity. Yes that’s right we’re talking about Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2011: promising to be bigger and more spectacular than ever before. Here’s decoding how they plan on making this season epic.

LFW TV, which kicked off very successfully last season (remember MissMalini hosted the after parties?) broadens the horizon for LFW on a wider digital platform, with regular webisodes, live show streaming (a first in India), informative interviews and fun  behind the scenes action. LFW TV will be back with exclusive content of shows, behind the scenes action, trend reports, exclusive interviews, parties and much more from India’s premier fashion trade platform. The online streaming channel, will take a step further and allow buyers, sponsors and fashion enthusiasts, around the world to gain real time access to the action. Bandana Tewari will return as the host for LFW TV and Aki Narula will also be hosting along with a guest host from LFW’s online community.

Rohit Bal, industry veteran, will be kick starting Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2011 with a grand show at Tote. This season will also see the presence of industry stalwarts such as JJ Valaya, Wendell Rodricks, Narendra Kumar Ahmed, Pria Kataaria Puri, Neeta Lulla, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Nachiket Barve showcasing their collections at LFW Winter/Festive 2011, laying to rest any rumors of a rift of any sort within the industry.

The Lakmé Grand Finale will be presented by iconic designer Manish Malhotra who will be interpreting the new cosmetic range ‘Lakmé Absolute’ by Lakmé for the LFW Grand Finale.
