The hot, leggy model brigade of the city was present in all its sexy glory at the Maxim cover launch of the July issue at Zinc. They sashayed down the make-shift ramp in Satya Paul‘s Resort collection. The models strutted their stuff with confidence, the hair and make up looked impeccable but the clothes left much to be desired. It was flimsy and mostly unimaginative. Simran Kaur Mundi and Pyar Ka Punchnama girl Sonali Sehgal were seen cheering their colleagues from the sidelines.
After the brief fashion show, the star attraction of the night and Maxim‘s July cover girl, Anushka Sharma walked on to the stage. She was in a black, flared jumpsuit with lace details on the shirt. (Take the jumpsuit poll here.) Her hair was tied up in a rather stern ponytail. Her bright red lips matched that of her cover picture. She looked fabulous and very fit but a little more effort would have been appreciated. Then again this was her second event in a week that we were attending plus she has been keeping busy with movies and endorsement commitments so I guess we can’t complain.
She deftly fielded the media queries. When asked about her ideal man, she very accurately mentioned that one of the key requirements is that he should be able to handle her success. Quite predictably she was asked about her supposed beau Ranveer Singh and she smilingly (and may I add quite predictably) refused to either confirm or deny. Some scribe sought her take on Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer’s growing proximity and the pretty lass told the scribe to pass on the query to Ranveer instead. Kudos girl for not losing patience even when asked such lame questions!
Lest I forget the emcee of the night was Aanchal Kumar looking as smouldering as ever. Also spotted: Adam Bedi with Nisha Harale Bedi, Rimi Sen, Haneef Halal, Kailash and Aarti Surendranath, Rocky S, Shamita Singha, Karishma Tanna, Kirti Kulhari, Parveen Dusanj, Shama Sikander and the cast of Pyaar Ki Ye Kahani Suno.
