Aamir Khan is going to do what he loves best after almost 18 years! He’s going to return to script writing for his upcoming home production. After giving direction (Taare Zameen Par) and production a shot, Aamir wants to rediscover his love for writing.
Psst! Did you know that Aamir penned the script for Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak in 1988? He also wrote one of the most adorable movies I’ve ever seen, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke in 1993. Don’t you just love Aamir and Juhi Chawla in the movie and can you believe that the little kid in the movie is Kunal Khemu (cho chweet!)
Aamir is teaming up with his cousin, Mansoor Khan who produced Imran Khan’s Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. Mansoor has in the past directed movies like QSQT, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (miss boarding school every time I watch it) and Josh.
Mansoor will make his Bollywood comeback after a long sabbatical with this much awaited project. Aamir is also getting some writing gyaan from his wife, Kiran Rao and his cousin, Nuzhat Khan (Imran Khan‘s mom).
Imran spoke to the media about Aamir’s foray into script writing. Imran feels that his mom’s going to be the sounding board, whereas Mansoor and Kiran will help Aamir come up with the script.
You’d think, Aamir would be overwhelmed with all the multitasking. But I have to admit, I think he digs the challenge. Knowing the perfectionist that he is, we know he’ll ace it!
