One of the better things about the upcoming Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) is that apart from shows in the main show area, there will be a number of off-site showings at The Source, the exhibition area in the grounds adjacent to the Grand Hyatt Hotel.

Delhi-based designers Kapil and Mmonika will be among those who will showcase select pieces here – at The Talent Box – on the 18th of August at 4.30pm.

Collection Note: Luxuriously tailored separates, elegant evening attire and glamorous party wear are the offerings for winter 2011 by Kapil and Mmonika. A dressier extension of their Summer 2011 range (which was showcased at Lakmé Fashion Week in march), this collection comprises crisp jackets, waistcoats, trouser and skirt suits, dresses, gowns, tunics and saris, for the complete seasonal wardrobe of the urban woman.

This collection caters to a wide range of occasions – from brunches to office dinners, evening cocktails to Page3 parties and even lighter ethnic occasions.

Clean lines and intelligent shapes are key factors in this collection which caters to women of varying body types, across age groups.

“The line is designed to encourage the audience to mix and match separates – the pieces can be teamed up in innumerable ways to create an extended wardrobe”, say the designers.
