Day 2 Highlights, where shall I begin? Should I say that MissMalini got an exclusive with the one and only Kabir Bedi! Or should I start with saying that we also caught up with Neil Nitin Mukesh? Got your attention haven’t I? There were so many stars at Narendra Kumar’s show that one blogger sitting next to me said, “I’m so en’gross‘ed.. eww” I still can’t figure that one out, blame it on the fatigue of Day 2.

It was quite an experience for both MissMalini, Ranjit Rodricks and I to be taken to Kabir Bedi’s personal green room and interview him. There is a definite star power when you see Mr.Bedi on TV and photographs, so you can only imagine what we felt meeting him in person. Dressed to the nines in Narendra Kumar and exuding a natural charm made the interview just that bit more exciting. Not wanting to skip a beat, as soon as we headed out the green room the 3 of us stormed up (we are a posse now!) to Neil Nitin Mukesh and did a little one on one with him. According to Neil, all a man needs to do is wink to get a ladies attention! Boys, let me tell you now, winking only works for Neil (Don’t be winking at every lady out there, that won’t impress us much!)

Now, for some serious Man Fashion

At the most dapper show so far, Narendra Kumar took us back to the days of the Rat Pack, where jazz and men in suits were all the rage. His collection transported us to the days of the prohibition bars and power suits with all the sass and sway of the 20s. The ladies in the audience were thrilled to see all the man candy, especially since they were dancing their way down the ramp. Narendra who is known for a fitted trouser, although this time slightly relax and rolled up at the ankle; gave the trouser a ‘too cool for school’ flair. The Tuxedo jacket was the emphasis of the look with a wide variety of textures, fabrics and cuts to choose from. Whether you are a flamboyant man that can pull off a printed turquoise brocade tux or a gentleman who likes his jackets fitted with a touch of excitement, this collection had it all. It was a true Gentlemen Club vibe at the show which carried over to the lounge and the after party. It’s safe to say, it’s good to have Narendra Kumar back to Lakmé Fashion Week.
