11 Things You'd Never Know-tice Without Team MissMalini at Fashion Week!

MissMalini , 24 Aug 2011

girl-3_EXCLUSIVEFashion Week (as you might have guessed) is as much about what’s happening off ramp as it is on it! And I confess I’ve stolen glances at the front row to see how they’re holding up and spotted a cheeky yawn or whisper now and again :) So here’s my lo down on all those little things the rest of the paparazzi will never tell you, perhaps because we here at MissMalini.com are compulsive people-watchers. You’ve been warned! xoxo

Front Row Shenanigans.

FYI this picture is my fave. Khaled Mekkawi is a buyer who I run into every Fashion Week. Total sweetheart btw and the reason he was holding his nose was because the baby powder at Rehane’s show was making him sneeze! But ya, he’s one of my favorites to watch because he’s generally bouncing along to the beat of the music and flashing me a big fat grin :)

It is perfectly acceptable to whisper your immediate review to the person seated next to you.

Some People  Just Cannot Handle Getting a Front Row Seat.

No really. For Narendra Kumar Ahmed’s show I happened to be seated next to a rather “hardcore” individual. Not only did she hoot and heckle all the models, at one point she even playfully mimed some pelvic thrust action at Parveen Dusanj in relation to her beau Kabir Bedi who happened to be Nari’s showstopper. Eeks.

Anna Hazare Was at Fashion Week.

Well at least in spirit. Everyone from models, designers to photogs were seen sporting these Mi Anna Hazare Aahe (aka I am Anna Hazare) Nehru topis!

I’m not quite sure of VJ Balhara was painstakingly sticking each green sequin to his wall or taking them down, but yeah either way; you go Cinderelli!

Cricket Players Don’t Really “Get” Fashion.

I spent most of Wendell Rodricks’ show watching Yuvraj Singh’s poor puppy face as he tried to make sense of it all. (I think he thought that the cocked Labrador look might make him appear more intensely occupied, but nah, SO busted. *lol*)

Mouse Ears Are in Fashion.

Or at least me, Sue Castellino & Nishka Lulla think so! I BMMed Sue to take a pic for you so you could see these sitting on blogger Santu Mishra’s head in the media section all week long :) #adorable
