Puma and Metro have chosen to go the conventional way to market their shoes by choosing two popular celebrities to endorse their brand. Metro chose Saif Ali Khan and Puma chose Sonakshi Sinha. Being clever, Toniq a handbag company decided to take inspiration from popular brand ambassadors without actually using them. Confused? Read on.

Men who love shoes (yes they exist), there are more options out there for you. Metro shoes are launching their new autumn/winter collection and have chosen the ever-savvy Saif Ali Khan to be brand ambassador. Saif apparently ran through the whole photo shoot in a matter of 2 hours (with 6 different looks), which anyone who has had an impromptu shoot at home can tell you is unbelievably fast. I guess he didn’t need to waste time with shoehorns huh?

Sonakshi Sinha for PUMA

Sonakshi Sinha was part of the ‘search for City’s own Bolt’, a contest to find the fastest sprinters. She cheered on the contestants and spoke about the new shoes that help you get that perfect sprint, the Puma Faas. Rajiv Mehta (Puma India Managing Director) says, “Faas running shoes are fast as fast can be, lightweight and come with everything you need for running, and nothing more. The trademarked Bio-Ride technology was developed by observing the fastest athletes associated with the brand, such as Usain Bolt, and studying their movement and foot placement.” Maybe these shoes are Sonakshi secret to weight loss!

ToniQ Bags Need No Ambassadors

Instead of having a face to the brand, ToniQ decided to use faces of famous actresses to be the inspiration of their latest range of bags. They chose actresses Angelina Joli (my favorite bag), Audrey Hepburn, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lucille Ball (Lucy). It might not be a Birkin, but its still cool to say I have an Audrey no?
