For the second year the Global Indian Music Academy (GIMA) has begun   preparing for a grand award function to be held on the 22nd of September   at the Kingdom of Dreams. The first of it’s kind in the music  industry,  the voting process is based on peer-voting from the 280  members of the  academy which consists of musicians, producers,  technicians, composers  and industry experts.

The voting process kicked off at a conference yesterday with Asha Bhosle, also GIMA’s Goodwill Ambassador casting the first vote,“GIMA  provides a unified platform for musicians across the country, giving  equal prominence to film and non-film music making for a holistic Awards  presentation.
