Mandira Wirk:”I always think when I make something, will Mandira wear it?”
I remember seeing Mandira Wirks collection in Bombay and thinking to myself wow she really understands women (and how to most flatteringly drape them.) I’m even more sure now after chatting with her in Kolkata and taking a second look!
Psst! Remember her sister act with Malaika Arora Khan and Amrita Arora? Well this time the adorable Diva wore the same outfit!

The entire audience clapped loudly every time this model hit the ramp, understandably so, since Asif Azim is from Bangladesh I suppose he’s a bit of a poster-boy for Cal too!

I had a nice long chat with Sophie in the press room after the show and she filled me on her personal style, singing career and a even her next dancing stint – with none other than Prabhu Deva!

I caught the designer after her show for a quick click; watch the video for what’s on trend right now according to Mandira Wirk!

Love that Mandira Wirk complimented my Nisshk by Nishka Lulla dress yay! 🙂 Oh, did I mention that the great Nowshad Rizwanullah – also my better half – came along as chief bodyguard & photo-taker? Enticed purely by the authentic Bengali cuisine he’d get to sample and perhaps a little PC! *Lol*

Rina Dhaka had a lovely collection too and although I don’t much get a chance to rock a hat, I kinda wanted this one! Oh and I love, love, love the psychedelic 70s chic.

P.S. As you know by now I LOVE people-watching (almost as much as I love people) and in Kolkata I spotted the range – from a blinged out big mama (that I at first mistook for Shahnaz Hussain, oops!), to the token flamboyant fashion circuit homosexual and one extremely well turned out little lady that exuded a whole lot of Calcutta Class!
Nicely done 🙂
