Google Doodle

So… you may have noticed that I, for some reason, have been oddly fixated on The Muppet Show recently! I now know this was no coincidence. Clearly the ghost of Jim Henson past, present and future has somehow made its way into my subconscious. Thanks to my friend Heena Jain this morning (ok afternoon, hangover much?) I discovered Google’s awesome new doodle celebrating Jim’s 75th birthday – and then I got the tech dope off wired.com 🙂
Right then, I’m off to watch my 4½ hours of The Best of The Muppet Show on DVD now while I blog. xoxo

What Happened?

On September 24, Muppets and Sesame Street creator Jim Henson would have been 75. And in  his honor Google has rolled out its latest amazing Doodle. The Jim Henson Doodle features six original Muppet characters whose  shapes suggest the Google logo. But as you mouse over them, you’ll find  that they respond just as if you were a puppeteer. Go play!

P.S. My favorite part is when the last puppet eats the skinny one next to him *Lol* #classicmuppethumor 🙂

Everybody Sing Along!

It’s the Muppet Show with our Very Special Guest Star, ….

It’s time to play the music
It’s time to light the lights
It’s time to meet the Muppets on the Muppet Show tonight.

It’s time to put on makeup
It’s time to dress up right
It’s time to raise the curtain on the Muppet Show tonight.

Why do we always come here
I guess we’ll never know
It’s like a kind of torture
To have to watch the show

And now let’s get things started
Why don’t you get things started
It’s time to get things started
On the most sensational inspirational celebrational Muppetational
This is what we call the Muppet Show!
