Hi Miss Malini Peeps,
Bollywood has gone movie trailer crazy, with trailer launches, press previews, etc. But a trailer I loved was the Agneepath trailer, with a fierce looking Hrithik Roshan (PS: he has never looked better!) However, we have to wait till NEXT YEAR for Agneepath, coming out at the end of January. Similarly, the Don 2 trailer (also awesome) came out a while back, and it is not even being released till Christmas.
A film coming out this year that I’m anticipating is Ladies Vs. Ricky Bahl. The film will be released the same weekend Band Baaja Baaraat did, December 9th, but the trailer is not even out yet! While there have been leaks of pictures from the shoot, featuring Ranveer Singh in various avatars alongside one of the films 3 heroines, it is high time for an actual preview.
But MissMalini readers, this film is a very interesting one for those involved:
1) It will only be Ranveer Singh‘s second film, can he break out of the “Bittoo Sharma” mold?
2) Parineeti Chopra‘s debut film! Can she follow in her cousin’s footsteps a la Rani Mukherji? Will Dipannita Sharma get her proper Bollywood due?
3) Can Anushka Sharma deliver another hit for Yash Raj Films, add to her impressive filmi resume, and take back the Yash Raj Films golden girl title from Katrina Kaif ?
4) Will the team of Habib Faisal and Maneesh Sharma live up to Band Baaja Baaraat‘s critical and commercial success?
Personally, I hope this film is good (Habib Faisal‘s dialogues with Ranveer Singh‘s delivery were brilliant in BBB), but hopefully, someone at Yash Raj Films can read this and move along with the promotions, please? And MissMalini peeps, which jodi out of the three above are you excited to see?
