Rumi Jaffery is making a political satire on the common man’s fight against corruption and its called Gali Gali Mein Shor Hain. With the Jan Lokpal Bill and the Anna Hazare movement becoming a national rage, the flick couldn’t have been timed better. So, Akshaye Khanna will be playing R.K. Laxman’s common man from the comic strip.
He’ll be seen in very non glam avatar as he works in a government office and travels by scooter. Sounds strikingly similar to Shah Rukh Khan’s character in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, doesn’t it? The movie also has South Indian actress, Shriya Saran as his lady love. Rumor has it that the Akshaye and Shriya have great chemistry on and off screen. We wonder what’s brewing there. Watch this space for more on that!
The shooting of the flick is currently happening in Bhopal (which is also where Aarakshan was shot) and the team has received a lot of support from Aarkashan director, Prakash Jha. Wow, its good to hear that Bollywood isn’t just about nasty fights and cold vibes but also about being there for each other. Inspiring!
