Day 2 at BPFT and the ramp saw more Bollywood beauties walk for their favourite designers. Walking for Vikram Phadnis was Malaika Arora Khan wearing a red and gold lehenga with heavy gota work. Vikram did what he knows how to do even in his sleep I’m sure, which is make classic blingy Indian bridal wear.
After the rumoured engagement (sorry but this fashionista still isn’t convinced, where is the RING?) it was a bit ironic to see Genelia D’souza in bridal wear walking for Rakesh Agarwal. This collection was about contemporary opulence, with an emphasis on drape. His evening wear gowns in bright red and pink with gold embroidery were the stand out of the collection.
Dia Mirza looked like Midas has just touched her in a sequined gown by Rocky S. I’m sure this dress will have all the Bollywood stylists want to steal it for any upcoming award show. Rocky S is making quite a splash this week, especially after Paris Hilton wore his dress on her trip to india.
Yawn… I can’t believe Anand Kabra, who is so talented, showcased his winter collection (the same one we saw at wills) again. Although a very lovely collection full of surprising silhouettes, I kind of want to see something different from him.
