It’s the lovely Soha Ali Khan’s birthday today :) I met her back before she got into showbiz at The British School where she was a year junior to me. She’s actually super chill and I’m sure she won’t mind me recounting two incidents that stand out in my memory. Happy birthday pretty girl! xoxo
1) She once rocked a black eye from softball for a week when she unfortunately got hit in the face. Again she wasn’t “a girl” about it and got right back on the field.
2) I directed her in a school play for Youthquake (Delhi peeps, remember that?!) where the theme was Wrong Number and we did awesome. The funny bit was when I was trying to throw in that backward-skip-kick dance move from the song Ole Ole and out of frustration blurted out, “Soha please teach them the steps!” (Because she’s a fab dancer, not because she’s Saif Ali Khan’s sister, but yeah that cracked everybody up.) *Lol*
Here’s us playing catch up at the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour where she looked like a mini Sharmila Tagore in a gorgeous Ramona Narang sari and brocade blouse.
I am very excited that Ramona Narang is dabbling in Indian-wear. Her sexy silhouettes and bare backs are a no-brainer for desi girls around the world :)
