Designer Jaya Misra has recently launched a new range of bridal and trousseau wear called Shringarika. The consists of lehengas, cholis, saris and flowing Indian silhouettes.
The garments – fashioned from chiffon, georgette, lace, net and velvet – are adorned with gold-thread work, Swarovski crystals, velvet cut work, brocade, sequins, zardosi, kasab and other ornamentation.
Jaya has blended beautiful colors like beige, Prussian blue, grey, red and wine with deep maroon, black and also soft brown. Different cuts and styling like Patiala shalwars with short kurtis and flowing kurtas with uneven hemlines stand out.
Of course, as the name of the collection suggests, the clothes are inspired by the solah shringar or ‘the adornments of the bride’.
Jaya will showcase this line at the upcoming Dubai Fashion Week.
