Actors Neha Dhupia and Vinay Pathak recently unveiled a new collection at Gitanjali‘s luxury store, Giantti. Meanwhile, they were also promoting their upcoming film, Pappu Can’t Dance Saala, due for release later this month. It’s quite an unusual pairing, but it was fun seeing them play off each other – Vinay was his usual (slightly annoyingly) funny self, while Neha was more relaxed and balanced. The height thing, as you can realize, is a bit of an issue too – Vinay is clearly standing on tiptoes for this shot, and was trying to do so for a major chunk of the Q&A round as well. The actors arrived a bit late, for which Neha apologized and Vinay joked about. Once they were in, they revealed a piece from Giantti‘s new collection (pretty pretty) and then set out to do a Q&A round with the journos. They were asked various things, from whether it was a film about dance (not really, despite the title) to how Vinay was as a co-actor – to which Neha admitted that Vinay has been her favourite co-star so far. The journalists even made them end off the interview with a short dance:
Have got to say, off-screen Vinay comes across very similar to his on-screen Bheja Fry character. His antics were never-ending during the event; he seemed like he had a joke to crack at every moment. Therefore, I thought it’d be fun to get some of this stuff on video, even the stuff that was not really part of the Q&A round – consider it a little “behind the scenes” 😉 Check it out:
Meanwhile, Neha was sweet enough to say a little ‘hey’ to MissMalini readers and give us a short byte about the film. She’s actually pretty adorable so it was fun seeing her in person. 🙂
