If you enjoy watching musicals you’re in for a treat with the show EKATVA taking place in Mumbai Dec.4. Unlike other shows this one is particularly different because it’s performed by 16 slum children from Ahmedabad sharing Gandhiji’s message of ‘Oneness’ and universal love. With the direction of mentors from Manav Sadhna and teachers of the Darpana Academy (headed by Mallika Sarabhai), these children have been training for a year and are now ready for their world tour.
The show’s booklet states, “Through this journey we hope to spread seeds of goodness and compassion throughout the world and inspire our global citizens to serve and care for those in need… the EKATVA journey is truly about how we all can walk towards becoming better human beings and learn to love and serve the world around us.”
Music and dance has always broken boundaries and tends to bring people together which makes this such a great initiative. We hope the EKATVA tour is successful in spreading their message and we can’t wait to watch the show.
