Covering American Vogue is huge for Hollywood actresses & models, and landing a cover multiple times is rare. However, I’ve noticed some actresses grace Vogue India quite repeatedly. Take Katrina Kaif, she has been on the cover, I’m guessing, 3 times? Here’s my list of actresses or models who deserve a Vogue India cover stat!

1) Vidya Balan

With No One Killed Jessica at the start of the year, to The Dirty Picture at the end, Vidya ruled 2011.  She also picked up the Best Actress Award at the various award shows (but got robbed at the Filmfare Awards!). She has covered a Vogue supplement issue, but I’d love to see Vidya Balan on a real Vogue India cover (in Sabyasachi, of course!).

2) Anushka Sharma

I am surprised Anushka Sharma hasn’t made the cover yet, she was a full fledged model before entering Bollywood. She also had a good year, even though Band Baaja Baaraat was released in 2010, she got all the acclaim for it in 2011, including the Best Actress IIFA Award.

3) Lakshmi Menon

She is, in my opinion, the Biggest Indian Supermodel ever (followed very closely by Ujjwala Raut). She has been in numerous international fashion magazines, walked big designer runways, and has landed major designer ads. However, I feel India does not celebrate her enough (the way the UK celebrates Kate Moss). Lakshmi Menon has been on 2  covers of Vogue India (appearing solo), but she deserves to be on at least 10!

4)  Jyothsna Chakravarthy

Jyothsna Chakravarthy has been featured on the cover of Vogue India in a group, and has some stunning editorial work. But she is  due for a cover though!
