Roohi Jaikishan, Director, RR Oomerbhoy Pvt Ltd with husband Chetan hosted a lavish evening of literary conversations, cocktails and Italian dinner at Indigo, Mumbai on Sunday 4th December 2011. The evening was in honour of some of the most prolific author  and writers from the subcontinent.

Renowned authors such as ‎​William Dalrymple, Patrick French, Mohsin Hamied, Mohammed Hanif,  Chetan Bhagat, Ashwin Sanghi, Vikram Chandra, Vinod Mehta and Tarun Tejpal were present at this evening that crackled with exchanges from the world of food, books, current events and more.

A menu incorporating ingredients from the portfolio of fine Italian products that RRO brings to India, was created by Indigo. Delicious starters like roasted potatoes with sherry mustard dressing, stuffed mushrooms with gorgonzola mousse and prawns in wasabi dressing did the rounds. For the main course, guests were treated to herbed prawns in roasted bell pepper sauce, baby lamb confit with pearl onions and arugula and porcini lasagna with chevre.

The meal came to a happy ending  as desserts like chocolate whiskey pate and chocolate mud cake were served. A RRO Cheese Bar was also laid out for the evening, offering guests a a tantalizing taste of freshest European and global Cheese.
