Festive Yule log, chums! I trust you all are exhausted and fluey and hungover and fed up like everyone else. SO, I’ve got a little something to bring a smile on your face :-D
I told you all about the delightful Lanvin-Claridge’s Christmas tree… Well, Lanvin have followed it up with an even more adorable, festive short film. It has the Christmas fairy of the said tree, the Alber Elbaz marionette swanning around Claridge’s ‒ to find the bauble-laden Christmas tree. Well cute it is, no?
I love that it is not in the slightest pretentious, which is almost unheard of from a fashion/luxury house. But, the more I watch this short film, the cleverer I find its intents to be. Instead of stuffing all its artistic credentials down viewers’ throats ‒ which fashion and luxury houses tend to do when they come up with short films ‒ Lanvin chose to sow a subversive germ of enjoyment that can grow into proper attachment. It did to me ‒ I soooo want one of the Lanvin marionettes!!! But this will do, for now ;-)
P.S: A big fat merry chunking Christmas to you all ‒ and of course, wishing yet another vintage year… :-)
