Jameson is hosting a special conversation between ace filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and the famous film critic and book author Anupama Chopra on Monday at Trilogy. They’re going to chat about cult film/film making, Anurag’s take on films, his inspirations, new projects and ending with the announcement of the Jameson initiative for India! Now here’s where it gets interesting for you.

Done in 60 Seconds

2011 Winner – 127 Hours by Maeve Stam

2010 Winner – Top Gun by Mark Wong and Chris Slaughter

Jameson Empire ‘Done in 60 Seconds’ is a global digital competition where you can produce your own 60 second version of any iconic film. The competition culminates with five ‘Done in 60 Seconds’ nominees attending the star studded Jameson Empire Awards in London on March 23rd and the winner accepting a Jameson Empire Award on stage.

This year, India will participate through 5 entries and these entries would be judged by Anurag Kashyap! Jameson and Anurag will be hosting a Jameson Cult Film Club party in Mumbai on the February 2nd to announce the winners and celebrate movies! Anurag will also be attending the Jameson Empire Awards on the 23rd of March. For more deets visit

I’m really looking forward to this discussion (and in fact taking two film-maker buddies along who I hope will participate – with hopefully less cheesy entries than those previous winners!)
