Fashionista Sonam Kapoor chose to wear a salmon coloured saree, with a high-collared blouse and an ornate jacket on top, for the Eli Saab and Jean Paul Gaultier Spring/ Summer 2012 Couture shows in Paris last night. She was the only Indian star to be officially invited by both the designers.
While the actress didn’t tweet any pictures from the shows, or even offer a few choice statements during the presentation, she tweeted later:
On his part, Gaultier chose to pay tribute to the late singer, Amy Winehouse, by sending his models down the runway in exaggerated beehive hair-dos and eye-liner, reminiscent of the troubled star.
Gaultier comfortably merged his signature corsetry and eclectic cut-away jackets with Amy’s style of wedge heels and grunge-chic, to make for a collection that was high on glamour and dazzle!
