If you’re heavily into fashion, and all things stylish, and if you’re following Prabal Gurung on Twitter, you might have been surprised to find your time-line cluttered with numerous re-tweets, praising this extremely talented Nepali designer (who studied at NIFT in Delhi and then worked with Manish Arora).
The reason? Prabal debuted his Spring 2012 campaign with Victoria’s Secret model, Candice Swanepoel, and the fashion world has gone into a tizzy. The images are inspired by photographer Nobuyashi Araki’s Sensual Flowers series, and are completely stunning and sensuous, to say the least.
It’s barely been three years since Prabal debuted under his own label at New York Fashion Week and already, he’s a much sought after name in the fashion world. Michelle Obama and Sarah Jessica Parker, are just a few of the fashion icons, who sport his designs on a regular basis.
So what do you think of the campaign? Lots of poise or unnecessary noise?
