With the new Spring-Summer season upon us, fashion designers are busy launching their new collections. Among them is Aminder Madan, who celebrated the 7th anniversary of her multi-designer store, Cypress, by launching her own signature label last evening in Mumbai. Her special invitees and celebrity guests, enjoyed the evening over wine and finger food, and as an added bonus, some lovely skincare and beauty makeovers by Clarins. Our very own Brand Coordinator, Amruta Khatavkar, also indulged in a bit of pampering.
Amongst the guests were Nicole Faria, Shaheen and Roshan Abbas, Mandira Bedi, Lavinia Hansraj, Krishika Lulla, Maria Goretti and Gaurav Kapur.Aminder Madan’s collection is divided into three segments – Indian, Western and Pret.
The Indian collection has long kaftan-style kurtis, highlighted with gold embroidery, paired with delicate net dupattas and long flowing capes with brocade kurtas. The collection is designed keeping resort weddings in mind, considering the recent popularity of destination weddings and functions, and the ever changing trends in fashion.
The western collection has a range of dresses in bright jewel tones, in fluid drape styles and minimal embellishments. These are well suited for brunches, hi-tea events, romantic dinners, cocktail parties or just a night out with your favorite girlfriends.The pret collection has a wide range of options for day and evening wear, consisting of tunics, tops and shirts for all kinds of occasions.
She has also created an exclusive men’s collection of shirts, in bold prints and linens.
