White Stripes, or more specifically, Jack White, fans, anyone? Y-es? Well, he’s coming out with a solo album, Blunderbass, on the 23rd of April. Thrilled? You’re going to be, once you hear the first single, Love Interruption, from it. Dropped on the 30th of January at jackwhiteiii.com, to an incredible reception, it paints a disturbing image of love, but without the full-throttle sound of the White Stripes or his other side-project, the Dead Weather. “I want love to… grab my fingers gently… slam them in a doorway… put my face into the ground,” sings Jack to the strum of guitar, in this country-bluesy track. Fittingly, its video arrived on… the 14th of February, making it the Valentine’s anthem for some. Check it out!
Self-directed, it’s a cloudy, vintage-looking performance video, that also features back-up vocalist Ruby Amanfu, clarinet player Emily Bowland, Brooke Waggoner on the Wurlitzer ‒ and a pooch! Like?
