At his recent fashion show in New York, designer Michael Bastian looked towards Charles Schultz’s iconic cartoon strip, Peanuts, for inspiration!

Not only did he send one of his models down the runway in a yellow pullover with the trademark squiggle cross the front, just like the one Charlie Brown always wears, but he had another model wearing a black and red striped pullover and holding a blue (security) blanket in his hand, exactly like Linus Van Pelt.

I’m liking the modernized take on these iconic looks, and am pretty sure Charles Schultz would approve.
