So the trend of having a Bollywood star show-stopper is pretty much taking over the runways, don’t you think? And while some of them are uber-stylish, others are, well, blah. My personal opinion? It’s Fashion Week. Let the clothes be the star attraction.
Kapil & Mmonika, are the designer duo from New Delhi, and launched their label 5 years ago, with a focus on “customized couture”. Um, who wouldn’t want that? And this is the third season that they are associating with Lakme. Bollywood divas like Karishma Kapoor, Diana Hayden and Mugdha Godse swear by them, and with good reason too. For their summer/ resort 2012 collection, they have chosen to showcase a line of clothing ranging from tropical holiday wear to contemporary party wear, accentuated with edgy cuts, subtle embroidery and bold prints.
