Either designer Rimi Nayak needs to desperately call in the pest control guys, or she’s a member of PETA and hates killing animals! For her Lakme Fashion Week collection on day Day 4, the young designer brought out a collection called (and inspired by) Insects In My Closet.

While I kind of enjoyed the termite, beetle and ant motifs/ prints, I felt a sense of deja vu, since Goa-based designer, Savio Jon, did something similar many moons ago for BE, a pret store by the Raymond’s Group, which has since, shut shop.

MissMalini reader, Ajoy Advani, also tweeted me a photo of a dress by Charlotte Taylor, which had a lovely print with big red ants all over it!

When devoid of prints, the insect motif appeared in the form of some pretty interesting brooches, which were pinned on lapels or shoulders.
